Two appointments are usually required to create your new porcelain veneer smile. With just two brief, painless dental visits, porcelain veneers can transform your smile that can last at least ten to fifteen years - sometimes as long as a lifetime. Here's what to expect at your first appointment . A small amount of tooth is removed to make room for the veneer. An impression is taken of the prepared tooth or teeth. A temporary restoration is placed ending the first appointment. The impression is used to create your permanent veneer. At the second appointment (usually scheduled 2 weeks later), the temporary is removed the tooth is cleaned and the veneer is bonded into place.
